Job summary
Voyage Care is seeking a Residential Deputy Manager in Reading with a passion for improving the quality of life for the people we support. The role leads a team in our supported living services, focusing on person-centred plans, care assessments, and staff supervision, with on-call duties as required.
The position requires a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification and care management experience, including working with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification is required.
- Experience in a care management role and with autism/learning disabilities and mental health needs is desirable.
- Experience managing a team and supervising staff.
- Experience with challenging behaviours in a care setting.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing person-centred support plans.
- Conducting care needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, and completing supervisions/appraisals.
- Completing medication competencies and medication audits.
- Attending multi-disciplinary meetings and assisting the Registered Manager in day-to-day service management.
- On-call rota participation (subject to service needs).
