Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker for our Tilehurst, Reading service. You will lead a team, oversee shifts and inductions, and ensure high-quality person-centred care across complex needs environments.

You will support the Service Manager with day-to-day operations, manage medication orders, and help service users maintain independence. The role offers training and development within a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff during shifts.
• Assist with rota planning and shift allocations.
• Support induction and development of new team members.
• Conduct supervisions and provide guidance to colleagues.
• Manage and order medications.
• Support service users with financial management where required.
• Promote person-centred care and positive outcomes.
• Provide hands-on support and lead by example.
