A veterinary practice in Stockport is seeking a Deputy Head Nurse to lead and support a team. The role involves maintaining clinical standards, managing resources, and driving initiatives. This fixed-term position offers flexible hours and a competitive salary of up to £35,000 FTE depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days annual leave, funded CPD opportunities, and a pension scheme.

We currently have an amazing opportunity available for a Deputy Head Nurse to come and join our friendly and enthusiastic practice. As Deputy Head Nurse, you will lead and support a team of Nurses holding regular team meetings and one to ones. The role includes responsibility for maintaining practice standards including clinical governance, practice standards scheme, nurse clinics/campaigns, stock and rota management as well as driving practice initiatives.
This role would suit someone who has excellent clinical standards, adaptable to change and willing to face new challenges. We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience of leading a team or someone who is ready to take that next step in their career.
We can be flexible with hours and can offer anything from 25-40 per week, so please let us know what you are looking for! This is a fixed term contract for 1 year covering maternity from March 2026, however at the end of this contract we can discuss permanent options within our wider group! Salary up to £35,000 FTE DOE.
