Overview

WorkwithSchools are looking to recruit a Deputy Nursery Manager for a setting based in York.

This is a full time role, to start immediately. Shifts will be between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday - Friday (37.5 hours a week) all year round.

A competitive rate of pay is on offer as well as a new starter bonus of £500 to be paid after a successful probationary period.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of the Manager and deputise for them as and when required
  • Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
  • Support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the Manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment
  • Provide high standards of care and early learning. This includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the personal, emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities
  • Support the team in order to provide an enabling environment, in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
  • Direct and support staff, as agreed by the Manager.
