Job summary

Merriman Grange in Worthing is seeking a confident Deputy Manager to support the General Manager in the daily running of a luxurious 72-bed dementia care home. You will lead care teams, ensure high standards, and cover leadership duties across shifts with a calm, professional approach.

Experience as an RGN is preferred, but strong leadership in a care home with medication administration knowledge and compliance with the NMC code will be considered. Full-time role with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the home on a 24 hour basis
• Deputise for the General Manager across the whole range of duties in their absence
• Oversee and maintain the care of residents, ensuring individual needs are met
• Mentor and support team members; ensure appraisals/training/supervisions are up to date

Merriman Grange is a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Worthing offering state-of-the-art facilities, which include 72 large ensuite bedrooms and 5 luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on-site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.

We have an exciting role for a confident, compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to work alongside an existing Deputy in the home. You will both assist the General Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home on a 24 hour basis. You will also together deputise for the General Manager across the whole range of their duties in their absence.

Ideally you will have experience as a RGN but if you can demonstrate previous care home leadership experience, you will be considered. You will ensure all aspects of the management of the home meet with the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission. You will need to be able to support and manage teams and demonstrate a calm and professional manner at all times.

You will oversee and maintain the care of the residents living at the home, ensuring each resident receives care according to their individual needs. Mentoring and supporting team members at all times ensuring appraisals/training/supervisions are up to date.

For this role a professional qualification; Registered Nurse with active PIN registration is preferred however you will be considered if you can demonstrate a solid background of relevant experience and qualification ie; NVQ Level 4/5.
