Job summary

The Cinnamon Care Collection is seeking a confident Deputy Manager for Merriman Grange, a luxurious residential and dementia care home in Worthing. You will work alongside an existing Deputy to support the General Manager in all day-to-day operations on a 24-hour basis.

You will oversee clinical governance, mentoring teams, and ensure compliance with CQC standards; RN with active PIN is preferred, but solid leadership experience will be considered.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including IT.
• Evidence of recent clinical practice.
• Evidence of management and administration of medication competency.
• Knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in day-to-day running of the home.
• Support and deputise for the General Manager in their absence.
• Oversee resident care and ensure individual needs are met.
• Mentor and support team; ensure appraisals/training are up to date.
• Maintain compliance with Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and CQC requirements.

Merriman Grange is a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Worthing offering state-of-the-art facilities, which include 72 large ensuite bedrooms and 5 luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on-site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.

We have an exciting role for a confident, compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to work alongside an existing Deputy in the home. You will both assist the General Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home on a 24 hour basis. You will also together deputise for the General Manager across the whole range of their duties in their absence.

Ideally you will have experience as a RGN but if you can demonstrate previous care home leadership experience, you will be considered. You will ensure all aspects of the management of the home meet with the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission. You will need to be able to support and manage teams and demonstrate a calm and professional manner at all times.

You will oversee and maintain the care of the residents living at the home, ensuring each resident receives care according to their individual needs. Mentoring and supporting team members at all times ensuring appraisals/training/supervisions are up to date.

For this role a professional qualification; Registered Nurse with active PIN registration is preferred however you will be considered if you can demonstrate a solid background of relevant experience and qualification ie; NVQ Level 4/5.
