Job summary

A leading appliance retailer in the UK seeks an experienced Depot Manager to oversee operations at its Luton Depot. This pivotal position requires strong leadership, compliance monitoring, and team empowerment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent logistical knowledge and be able to manage budgets and performance metrics effectively. A salary range of £38,000 to £42,000 per annum is offered, along with generous benefits including 33 days of holiday and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

  • CPC is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience managing budgets effectively.
  • Ability to challenge inefficiencies and implement changes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a motivated and engaged workforce to drive success.
  • Monitor and manage depot performance against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies and transport legislation.
  • Manage self-employed drivers and support their development.
  • Provide daily and weekly performance reports to management.

Skills

Excellent logistical knowledge including transport legislation
Ability to interpret and analyze data
Understanding of Health and Safety legislation
Experience in people management
