Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Cost Manager to join our Defence team in Cumbria, with three days on-site. You will deliver commercial and cost management across major defence and infrastructure programmes, helping clients deliver capital investments in a secure environment.

You will develop and manage cost plans, monitor budgets and forecasts, undertake cost reporting, risk analysis and benchmarking, and support procurement while collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing costs on major defence or infrastructure programmes.
• Strong cost planning, estimation and benchmarking capabilities.
• Experience with cost assurance, change control and contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project cost plans, options appraisals and estimates.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Undertake cost reporting, risk analysis and benchmarking.
• Support procurement and contract administration activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and client teams.
• Provide commercial insight to inform project decisions.
• Contribute to delivery of complex programmes in regulated environments.
