Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking Assistant Delivery Leads (Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers) to manage high-value defence and security projects. You will report to the Delivery Lead and ensure delivery according to the project plan, with hands-on tasks including meetings, reports, and budget control.

We welcome candidates with proven defence sector experience, understanding of security protocols, and progression towards recognised PM qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects in Defence and Security.
• Understanding of security protocols and clearance requirements.
• Degree in a relevant technical discipline (engineering, building, quantity surveying, architecture, project/construction management).
• Progress towards PMI, APM, RICS or CIOB PM qualification.
• Progress towards NEC3/4 PM qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-value defence and security projects to the project plan.
• Lead meetings, write reports, and monitor finances and resources.
• Manage scope, resources, finance and schedule; implement change control and risk management.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure security requirements are followed.
• Represent the sector within the business and support work winning.
