A leading automotive recruitment firm based in England is seeking a Dealership Accountant to produce accurate monthly management accounts. Responsibilities include attending business reviews, preparing budgets, and conducting reconciliations. Candidates must have previous motor retail experience and strong analytical skills. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Attend monthly business reviews with financial and operational guidance.
  • Analyse key performance indicators for weaknesses and profit opportunities.
  • Prepare the annual budget.
  • Conduct full monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform payroll input, VAT returns, and other ad-hoc reporting as needed.

Specialist Recruitment Consultants to the Automotive Industry

Dealership Accountant required to produce accurate monthly management accounts in accordance with standard accounting practice and Group policy, which are submitted within a strict 3 day deadline.

Responsibilities
  • Attend monthly business reviews with the Dealer Principal and line managers, to provide both financial and operational guidance.
  • Analyse and interpretation of key performance indicators, to highlight possible weaknesses and potential profit opportunities.
  • Prepare the annual budget.
  • Full monthly balance sheet reconciliations, with any necessary actions taken to ensure all controls are in place.
  • Various monthly and quarterly duties to include payroll input, VAT returns, manufacturer composites and other ad-hoc reporting, as required and deemed necessary by the business.
Qualifications
  • Kerridge/ADP experience, previous motor trade experience, the ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines, often under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to spot errors, and full discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
  • ONLY CANDIDATES WITH PREVIOUS MOTOR RETAIL EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
