Job summary

HIVED is shaping the future of eco-friendly parcel delivery from our London depots. The Day Ops Manager role leads the day-to-day operations, coordinating on-road and in-depot activities, and ensuring continuous service excellence across shifts.

You will manage a team of Shift Managers, Coordinators and Fleet Specialists, driving performance, safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. This on-site role requires strong leadership and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years’ experience leading fast-paced OTR / dispatch / last-mile operations.
• Strong command of driver operations, route execution, and dispatch accuracy.
• Hands-on shift leadership with ability to manage 30–100+ staff via supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift during rotation - managing Shift Managers, Coordinators, Fleet Specialist to deliver day-time performance.
• Receive handover from Night Manager and deliver to mid-Shift Manager.
• Be the GM’s primary support and deliver strong handovers.
• Lead and develop the team on OM’s shift rotation and manage performance.
• Oversee on-road and in-depot activities, including labour planning and safety.
