Job summary

HIVED, based in London, is a climate and logistics startup building an all‑electric, sustainable parcel network. The Day Ops Manager role oversees on‑site and on‑the‑road operations, leading a team of Coordinators and Shift Managers to ensure end‑to‑end performance and safe, efficient service.

You will manage driver movements, handovers, and continuous improvement initiatives while driving labour planning and daily activities across the depot and field operations.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years’ experience leading fast‑paced OTR / dispatch / last‑mile operations.
• Strong command of driver operations, route execution, and dispatch accuracy.
• Hands‑on shift leadership with ability to manage 30–100+ staff via supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift during rotation - managing Shift Managers, Coordinators, Fleet Specialist - to deliver exceptional OTR & UTR day‑time performance.
• Receive handover from Night Manager, deliver handover to mid‑Shift Manager.
• Be the GM’s primary support & deliver strong handovers.
• Lead & inspire, develop and performance manage, team on OM’s shift rotation.
• OTR: DSP management, capacity and account relationships, performance management.
• UTR: Labour planning for week‑ahead & night; manage day activities and sortation prep.
