Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking motivated individuals for a diverse social care role supporting adults with learning disabilities at The Pipers Specialist Day Opportunities in Newcastle Under Lyme. You’ll help promote independence, fulfilment and choice while delivering person-centred support across daily tasks.

Responsibilities include medication support, personal care, and implementing plans; candidates should have a driving licence or reliable transport, and be prepared to work

Qualifications

• Current driving license and access to a vehicle or ability to access local community by public transport.
• Experience working with people with learning disabilities and autism.
• Willing and physically able to provide personal care and manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in an innovative, flexible, responsive and strengths-based manner.
• Act as a Link Worker for the people we support by contributing to the ongoing assessment, development, delivery, and review of person-centred support plans.
• Administer medication and support with personal care.
• Deliver the manual handling requirements including use of equipment, physical intervention skills, and active participation in person-centred activities
• Plan and deliver community outings and activities, including sensory sessions.
