Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Data Quality Clinical Records Specialist (Band 4) to ensure complete, reliable clinical information in line with NHS standards.

The role supports patient safety by investigating data issues, validating demographics, and collaborating with clinical teams to improve data flows. Secondment available for internal applicants with manager’s agreement.

Qualifications

• Investigating complex data issues across clinical systems to identify discrepancies and data quality concerns.
• Validating patient demographics including NHS numbers and eligibility within UK systems.
• Supporting clinical and operational teams to resolve data issues and improve data flows.
• Improving data quality processes and promoting a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Merging duplicated patient records and handling complex demographic data with attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Investigate data quality problems across multiple clinical systems.
• Validate NHS numbers and demographic accuracy for appropriate patients.
• Collaborate with Pathology, Radiology, Mental Health and other teams to resolve data issues.
• Promote best practices for data accuracy and record-keeping.
