Job Title: Data Architect Practitioner

Location: Warton - we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £56,766 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Inform and adopt data modelling standards, guidelines, best practices and approved modelling techniques and approaches
  • Provide an expertise in all aspects of data, including Data Acquisition, Data Quality, Data Management, Data Architecture and Data Integration
  • Support business functions to define, build, develop and exploit data within their domains
  • Work jointly across enterprise architecture teams to develop data objects and data models to support business strategy requirements and changes in current capabilities
  • Contribute towards creation of coherent conceptual, logical and physical data models for relevant domains in the organisation
  • Supports data integration, business intelligence and content management team

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Possess an expert skill level in Data Analysis, throughout the data lifecycle.
  • System integration experience, including interface design, and familiarity with Relational Database techniques
  • Ability to convey complex and technical business issues to diverse audiences, and project a highly credible, polished image in presentations and communications
  • Experience in data/information modelling and architecture or equivalent roles

Desirable:

  • Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies, ontologies, and challenges of applying structured techniques (data modelling) to less-structured sources
  • Knowledge in user experience modelling, information design, and concept generation
  • Relevant certifications for example TOGAF Certified or DAMA (Certified Data Management Professional)
  • Experience of Enterprise Architecture Applications such as Sparx EA, BizzDesign, or similar

The Information Architecture team

The information Architecture Team manage Data Foundations driven by the Air Data Office and Air Data & Analytics (there are multiple projects which fit under this programme of work in which there are several demands for Information Architecture which stretch across the programme).
