Job Description
The Oracle Platform Security team is searching for a Data Architect with real-world experience to assist with designing and supporting a number of SaaS systems based on Oracle APEX. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. You will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Provides an advanced level of knowledge and experience in the development and review of security IT systems architectures. The ideal candidate must have an in-depth understanding of secure: networks, applications, databases, systems, infrastructure to include traditional enterprise datacenter, cloud, and multi-tenant and multi cloud environments, security systems, and identity systems. Be able to understand and apply designs principles that are in line with security requirements through corporate information security policies, standards and processes, industry security standards like FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI etc., as well as Line of Business (including Cloud) security standards. Strong communications skills in both written and spoken communication messaging to high level management (CXO and VP) and to technical developer and administrators. Must have a strong team working ethics with the ability to work remotely with strong priority and time management skills.
- Provides advanced level of knowledge and experience in the design and review of secure networks, applications, systems, infrastructure, databases, environments and security systems.
- Can ensure that design controls follow requirements that are in line with corporate information security policies and processes, as well as Line of Business (including Cloud) security standards.
- Evaluates existing and proposed technical architectures to evaluate security risk. Can provide highly advanced technical advice in support the design and development of secure architectures identifying security controls to mitigate discovered risks based on the evaluation of cost, usability, and security assessments.
- Provides advanced technical leadership regarding security technology, design, and protocols related to all aspects of enterprise and cloud computing.
- Understands and can apply risk assessments, threat modeling, and security architecture controls and techniques in evaluating overall solutions that may include technology, processes, and policies.
- Assists in defining and maintaining secure configuration baselines.
- Can evaluate scripts and coding for security controls.
- Identifies and prioritizes security design issues and vulnerabilities and can communicate those issues to address best solutions.
- Conducts security research regarding threats, troubleshoots issues and manages upgrades on security platforms.
- Provides highly advanced level advice on data security issues, compliance, and privacy requirements.
- Trains, mentors, and may supervise other staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years related experience in an information security role supporting security programs and security engineering/architecture in complex enterprise environments.
- Hands on experience with enterprise security architecture, engineering and implementation required.
- Knowledge of compliance program security controls, like ISO 27001, SOC 2, HITRUST, and FedRAMP, as applied to cloud SaaS, PaaS and IaaS operations.
- Familiarity with SDLC principles and scripting & programming languages (such as Terraform, Python, and Ruby).
- Expert level knowledge of: Cloud architecture and security principles. Risk Management Frameworks. nix and Windows system administration.
- Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor-level university degree in a relevant field from an accredited university, or equivalent.
- Expert level knowledge of web technologies, middleware, database, OS, firewalls, network communication protocols and methods.
- Knowledge of database security principles.
- Strong knowledge of encryption technologies and architectures.
- Experience with identity management principles and technology.
- Experience developing security architecture strategies that align to enterprise architecture strategy and the company's business strategy.
- Current CISSP, CISM, or the equivalent.
