Job summary

One Manchester is seeking a Data Manager to lead a team of data professionals and drive data governance, quality and predictive analytics across the organisation.

You will ensure robust datasets for reporting, insight and AI initiatives, partnering with senior leaders, IT and system owners to resolve data issues at source. The role includes shaping standards, controls and data maturity while supporting the Assistant Director with budgets and priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead data management, governance and quality improvement programmes.
• Manage and develop a team of data professionals, setting priorities.
• Establish and embed data standards, ownership, stewardship and controls.
• Drive data quality monitoring, remediation and continuous improvement.
• Lead the development of predictive analytics, AI and sentiment modelling.
• Provide assurance that data is robust, compliant for use.
• Work with senior leaders to improve data practices and resolve data issues at source.
• Ensure governance over production data and technical data solutions.
• Support the Assistant Director in budgets and resources across the IIP function.
