Job summary

Mears Group in Leeds is seeking an experienced Planner to join our Damp & Mould team. You will coordinate and schedule inspections, treatments and follow-on works, ensuring appointments are planned efficiently and operations progress promptly for residents and contractors.

The role requires strong planning, multitasking and communication skills, with experience in housing repairs and use of job management systems.

Qualifications

• Experience as Planner/Scheduler in social housing or repairs environment.
• GCSE English and Maths completed.
• Experience scheduling damp and mould inspections and follow-on repairs is advantageous.
• Understanding of repairs and maintenance operations in social housing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule damp and mould inspections, treatments, repairs and follow-on works.
• Allocate operatives and subcontractors to maximise productivity.
• Monitor daily schedules and manage outstanding, overdue and follow-on works.
• Prioritise urgent and high-risk damp and mould cases.
• Coordinate with Supervisors, Managers, Administrators, operatives and contractors.
• Maintain regular communication with residents about appointments and progress.
• Ensure systems are updated with appointment and works details.
• Identify scheduling issues and resource gaps or access problems.
• Coordinate multi-trade follow-on works to minimise repeat visits.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and reporting.
• Support monitoring of performance against targets and raise delays or issues.
• Collaborate to improve planning processes and resident experience.
