Job summary

AB Agri Ltd is seeking an Area Business Manager to cover Cornwall, South Devon and surrounding areas. The role is field-based, spending significant time on farms to build relationships, promote data-driven services, and drive value for dairy customers.

You will manage existing farms, onboard new ones, and use a consultative approach to promote milk recording, health testing and genomics. A driving licence and willingness to travel are essential, with a company car/van provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or commercial account management, ideally in agriculture or dairy.
• Strong knowledge of the dairy industry or agricultural market.
• Consultative selling style focused on customer needs and long-term relationships.
• Ability to manage own diary with a territory-led approach and preserve long-term value.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of existing farm customers with on-farm visits for retention and value.
• Prospect non-customers to build a robust pipeline and grow business.
• Promote the full service portfolio including milk recording and genomic services.
• Help customers understand data as a practical tool for herd performance decisions.
• Be the main contact for queries, coordinating with service teams to maintain high standards.
• Support onboarding of new farms and positive transitions into services.
• Build local presence by participating in events and farm walks, networking within the dairy community.
• Collaborate with partners to deliver joined-up customer solutions.
