Overview

Cyber Security Engineer – 37 hours per week – Permanent contract – £31,537 - £42,839.

The ICT shared service provides ICT services for the three South Worcestershire councils Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council, and Wychavon District Council. We provide support and development to the 700+ users. The Cyber Security Team are on the frontline of defending the Councils from a cyber attack.

About You

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • monitoring and reporting of existing security systems
  • implementation of new security systems
  • ensuring compliance with security accreditations
  • responding to incidents and carrying out security investigations

You will need to have a good working knowledge of:

  • Cyber security risks and mitigations
  • IT security standards and frameworks
  • IT security tools and their implementation including vulnerability scanning and server patching
  • IT infrastructure including Microsoft Active Directory
  • SIEM implementation and monitoring
