Purpose of the role
The CViT Team Leader for Cash Collection will provide overall leadership and operational oversight for both the Collections and Vault functions, working closely with the Senior Vault Officer to ensure secure, compliant and efficient operations across all service areas. The role is responsible for leading a team of collection officers and the Senior Vault Officer to deliver high‑quality, reliable and secure cash‑collection/delivery and valuables‑in‑transit services in line with SLAs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Management
- Manage, motivate and develop a team of Cash Collection Officers and the Senior Vault Officer.
- Conduct regular briefings, training and performance reviews.
- Address staffing issues promptly – including absences and performance concerns.
- Client Relationship Management
Plaint>Act as the main client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Respond proactively to queries, concerns or service requests and escalay any major issues to senior management.
- Monitor client requirements to keep service aligned with contract expectations and SLAs.

Audit and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all cash collection and vault processes comply with internal and external regulations (e.g. BS7858, security protocols).
- Conduct regular audits of vehicles, cash handling, the vault and team operations.
- Maintain accurate records of discrepancies and audits to support transparency.
Operational Efficiency and Productivity
- Implement processes to improve efficiency, optimise daily schedules and routes.
- Monitor performance metrics to exceed SLAs and productivity targets.
- Identify and implement improvements to workflows, resource allocation and systems.
Announcements Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Own the achievement of agreed SLAs for cash collections.
- Run root‑cause analysis on delays or failures and implement corrective actions.
Vehicle Management
- Maintain the fleet to high standards, including servicing, inspections and repairs.
- Monitor vehicle usage, charge rates and safety checks.
- Report vehicle incidents to senior management.
Collaboration with Senior Management
- Align operational goals with company strategy.
- Provide regular performance, SLA and operational reports.
- Contribute to planning and decision‑making with actionable insights.
Essential Requirements for the Role
- Proven leadership experience in a security cash‑in‑transit or similar secure logistics environment.
- Strong team‑management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent client‑relationship management and proactive client service skills.
- Experience managing compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
