Customer Team LeaderLocation: 2-3 Royal George Parade, Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham‑by‑Sea, BN43 6TB
Pay: £13.99 per hour
Contract: 30 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent part‑time
Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings, afternoons, late evenings and weekends – to be discussed at interview
Full, paid training provided.

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co‑op, as you'll need to authorise age‑related sales.

We're looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co‑op. As a Customer Team Leader, you'll be part of a friendly team that is dedicated to helping our customers. We'll look to you to help lead the store team – coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members, deputising for the Store Manager and delivering great customer service, performing a wide range of tasks around the store (re‑stocking shelves, cleaning spillages, etc.).

What you’ll do
  • Deliver friendly and thoughtful service, taking ownership for managing the store and handling challenging situations.
  • Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Ensure the store remains safe, legal and fully operational.
  • Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to create a great shopping experience.
  • Support your store manager by deputising when they’re not working and delivering a variety of HR processes.
  • Lead the way when introducing new products and services, collaborating with your team to implement change and encourage open feedback.
  • Build relationships and get involved in your local community, supporting the Store Manager with the delivery of the local Co‑op community plan.
