Job summary

Red Door Recruitment is helping a well-established company on the outskirts of St Albans recruit a passionate customer service administrator to join a busy office-based team.

You will greet showroom visitors, handle 60–80 calls and emails daily, process orders, manage stock delays, and support new business. The role offers hybrid working after probation, pension, and clear opportunities to grow within a ethical, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years customer service experience
• Retail (customer facing) experience will be considered
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Numerate
• Drives for results and positive outcome
• Pays close attention to detail, and accuracy
• Proactive, with ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• A car driver is preferred due to office location

Responsibilities

• Providing effective customer service over the phone and face to face
• Hosting customers who visit the showroom
• Effective handling of circa 60-80 customer calls/emails daily
• Assisting customers with order requirements, raising orders, and updating customers on order status
• Supporting new business and creating new accounts
• Handling invoice/collection queries
• Managing quality and return queries
• All pre and post sales enquiries
• Customer complaint handling
• Advising customers of any stock delays or any impact on customer experience
