Job summary

Luxury Leisure in Whitby is seeking a customer-focused venue assistant to help run our gaming area. You will work flexible shifts, including evenings and some overnights, and promote offers while delivering snacks and refreshments.

A key part of the role is guiding customers through our machines, handling cash and giving change, observing the challenge 25 policy and gambling legislation, and ensuring ID checks are properly carried out after training.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Promoting offers, promotions and events to guests.
• Providing refreshments and snacks to customers.
• Recommending games and alternative machines using product knowledge from training.
• Handling cash and giving customers change as part of daily duties.
• ID checks and compliance with gambling legislation (challenge 25) as trained.

Job description

Shift pattern: Monday to Sunday, Full Flexibility, Days/Evening and some overnights may be required, 3 out of the 7 days to be covered

If working between the hours of 11pm and 6am, you will receive an additional £1.50 per hour between those times.

By delivering excellent customer service, you will play an integral role in day to day running of our venue. Once you have completed your training, You could be:

• Promoting our excellent offers, promotions and events.
• Providing refreshments and snacks to our customers.
• Recommending games and alternative machines to our customers, using your product knowledge gained through our training programme.
• As a coin based business, handling cash is a big part of our teams daily duties, therefore you will be expected to provide customers with change.

With us operating within the gambling industry, there is an element of ID checking, as we operate a challenge 25 policy across all of our venues, as well as complying with and following strict gambling legislation.
