Job summary

Hayley Dexis in West Thurrock is offering a Customer Service Apprentice role in a busy branch. You will rotate through Trade Counter, Internal Sales and Warehouse Operations, gaining hands-on experience and delivering excellent service.

Apprenticeship lasting ~16 months with study during working hours, supported by the Hayley Academy. Salary starts at £16,640 per year, with a clear path to future roles in Customer Service or Internal Sales.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

We re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for a Customer Service Apprentice working within a busy and supportive branch environment.

About the role:

As a Customer Service Apprentice, you ll gain hands-on experience across key areas of the branch, building the skills needed to deliver excellent service to our customers. You will rotate through:

• Trade Counter supporting and serving customers face-to-face
• Internal Sales / Office handling calls, emails, and customer enquiries
• Warehouse Operations understanding stock, order fulfilment, and logistics

This well-rounded approach ensures you develop a strong understanding of both our products and how we support customers from enquiry through to delivery.

You ll learn how to:

• Communicate confidently with customers and colleagues
• Handle enquiries, orders and problem-solving effectively
• Use internal systems and processes
• Deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment

Following successful completion, there may be the opportunity to progress into a Customer Service or Internal Sales role.

About the Apprenticeship

• Apprenticeship in Customer Service (Level 2 or 3 depending on experience)
• Duration: typically, 16 months
• Study and coursework completed during working hours
• Regular support from a training provider and your manager
