Job summary

Hayley Dexis in Halesowen is offering an enthusiastic Warehouse Apprentice position to support a busy team at our headquarters. You’ll learn on the job, assisting with picking, packing and dispatching, and help with stock receipts and housekeeping.

No prior experience is required; the right attitude and willingness to learn are valued. Apprenticeship salary is £17,056 with opportunities for development and growth through Hayley Academy.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Basic IT skills (including Microsoft Office)

Responsibilities

• As our Warehouse Apprentice, you will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, picking, packing and dispatching goods.
• You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, shelving items in the correct locations, stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping.
• A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network.
• The environment and culture are one where everyone mucks in and works across a variety of tasks.

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands

Hours: 9am - 6pm Monday - Friday, 1 in 8 Saturdays, 8.30-12.30 - 41 hours

About the Warehouse Assistant role:

As our Warehouse Apprentice, you will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, picking, packing and dispatching goods. You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, shelving items in the correct locations, stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network. The environment and culture are one where everyone mucks in and works across a variety of tasks. That could mean one moment you’d be picking goods and the next hopping in the van to assist with a delivery. There’s no task this team doesn’t do and so if you are someone that is looking for a role that is varied and you like getting stuck in then this could be the perfect fit!
