Customer Service Administrator

Salary: £24,000-£28,000 depending on experience, Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex, Hours: 37.5 per week, Contract: Permanent

The Role

An exciting opportunity to join a growing team within the commercial insurance department of a leading pet insurance provider. This office-based Customer Service Administrator role offers a dynamic mix of customer service, administration, and sales support. Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality service as the business expands across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Respond to and resolve customer enquiries, ensuring full ownership of each task.
  2. Carry out general insurance policy administration accurately and promptly.
  3. Proactively follow up enquiries to convert them into policies.
  4. Maintain and improve customer satisfaction levels.
  5. Produce and manage high-quality documentation.
  6. Maintain accurate records within internal systems.
  7. Build a strong understanding of company insurance products.
  8. Highlight process improvements with a solutions-focused approach.
  9. Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
  10. Comply with regulatory and company policies at all times.
  11. Participate in regular training in line with company and FCA standards.
Requirements

Previous experience in a customer service or administrative support role is highly desirable, particularly within the insurance sector, though full training will be provided. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are essential. This role suits someone with a love of pets and a passion for customer service, who enjoys working collaboratively within a team. Suitable backgrounds include roles such as Insurance Advisor, Customer Service Executive, or Sales Support Administrator.
