Job summary

Speedy Hire in the United Kingdom is seeking a Hire Controller based in Bury St Edmunds. You will coordinate the full hire process from order through to delivery and collection, liaising with the depot to meet customer needs and ensure service excellence.

In this desk-based role, you will work with stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays while maintaining strong communication and a commitment to service delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication is essential.
• Adaptability to handle changing priorities.
• Commitment to learn and develop in the role.
• Valid driving licence is required.
• Experience in the hire industry or similar sales/operational role is preferred.
• Ability to support ESG/Decade to Deliver initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the complete hire process from order to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with depot teams to ensure customer needs are met.
• Work with stock, drivers and engineers to minimise delays and maintain service levels.
• Operate desk-based tasks and maintain high standards of customer service.
