Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is recruiting a Customer Assistant to join our shops. You’ll deliver outstanding service, help customers find products, and contribute to in-store experiences that distinguish us from competitors.

Varied hours across seven days with early starts and late finishes, including weekends. You’ll support with till duties, stock replenishment, and maintaining shop standards while building loyalty to our brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is welcomed but not essential. We’ll train you in all you need to know so that you can perform at your best, everyday.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for excellent service.
• Flexibility to work across seven days, including early starts and weekends, is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
• Use your product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits for the Partnership.
• Put the customer at the heart of everything you do, proactively understanding and resolving queries.
• Work flexibly across the shop to support the wider team, including till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing and general shop-keeping tasks.
• Identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.
