Job Description:
My client, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This company employs over 10,000 people worldwide and serves numerous large enterprise customers. The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating across teams and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Participate in communities with peer roles and share knowledge where appropriate.
- Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs.
- Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to product improvements.
- Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support or related fields.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 technology and deployment processes.
- Proficiency with Office core applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access.
- Understanding of Office integration with Windows, third-party networks, mobile devices, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Networking skills and familiarity with protocols such as FTP and HTTP (preferred).
- Object-oriented programming experience (preferred).
- Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):
- Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience in technical consulting or IT roles (preferred).
