Job Description:
My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an ever-growing Customer Support Function. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports a large number of enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will have:
- Ownership of, investigation into, and resolution of customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Participation in peer communities and sharing knowledge where appropriate.
- Development of technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs.
- Identification of potential product defects and escalation to aid in product improvements.
- Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 technologies and deployment processes.
- Proficiency with Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access) and their integration with Windows, SharePoint, OneDrive, and mobile platforms.
- Networking skills and familiarity with communication protocols (FTP, HTTP, etc.) are a plus.
- Object-oriented programming knowledge.
- Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in technical consulting or IT roles is preferred.
