Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

About the role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's smooth operation. You must be 18 or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Check delivery routes for the day.
2. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
3. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
5. Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support shop team tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Valid UK manual driving licence (B-Category) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to handle physical tasks (e.g., lifting crates).
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, adaptable.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, knowledge of chilled vehicles preferred.
