About the role

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly operation.

Note: You must be 18 or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
2. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
3. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
5. Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support shop tasks as needed, such as stock and housekeeping.

Essential skills/experience

• Valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Physical ability to lift crates and move cages.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated and adaptable.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
