About the role

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You will embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation in a friendly environment. You must be 18 or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in store, review your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintain road compliance, and adhere to health and safety standards.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid UK manual driving licence (category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently.
• IT literate.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles, is a plus.
