Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose products and Partner-led service directly to customers’ doors. You will support in-store tasks when not out on the road, while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Back at the shop, you’ll help with stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to a welcoming team environment. Night premiums apply for late shifts and enhanced hours. This role requires an 18+ year age minimum.

Qualifications

• Must have a full valid UK B-Category driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong time management and ability to plan routes effectively.
• Capable of handling physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
• Ability to work independently, stay motivated and adapt to changing conditions.
• Basic IT literacy for scanning, ordering and reporting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day and plan efficiently.
• Load and prepare the van, ensuring all orders are ready for delivery.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and ensure road compliance.
• Represent Waitrose brand with friendly, high-quality service on deliveries.
• Assist customers at their door and build rapport during the shopping experience.
• Support shop tasks when required and help the wider team.
