Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Customer Consultant for our Aberdeen branch. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday) offers training and a dynamic environment where you’ll support customers with their banking needs and digital services.

You don’t need banking experience, but a passion for customer service, patience, and strong communication will help you thrive in a fast-paced team. Training begins immediately after offer.

• Experience in customer service or a willingness to work in a customer-facing role.
• Patience, empathy and strong people skills to understand banking needs.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Confident using technology and digital services.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted, friendly help.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while keeping security and fairness in mind.
• Help customers get the most from digital services for easier banking.
• Guide customers through banking products to manage money confidently.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate when needed to protect customers.
