Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Customer Representative for our Newport branch to welcome customers, handle transactions, and guide them to suitable banking products. You’ll connect with customers in-branch, over the phone and online, delivering trusted guidance with care and accuracy.

You’ll be part of a busy team, supporting colleagues and upholding our standards of service, security and fairness in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or frontline role.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfortable using digital channels and branch technology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs, offering trusted, friendly help.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, while keeping customer needs, security and fairness at front of mind.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that are right for them, helping them manage their money with confidence.
• Work closely with colleagues within a busy branch environment, supporting one another to deliver excellent customer service.
• Take responsibility for doing things the right way, following processes and escalating concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
