Job summary

Avalara is seeking a Cross-Border EMEA Product Solutions Consultant to lead pre-sales efforts for international trade and cross-border compliance. You will guide technical scoping, deliver tailored product demos, and collaborate with Sales, Partners, and Product teams to architect compliant solutions for global customers.

You will work across the EMEA region and globally, translating regulatory challenges into clear architectures and driving customer success through strong stakeholder management

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical product role, preferably within cross-border trade, compliance automation, ecommerce, or adjacent solutions.
• Experience with cross-border compliance frameworks and international trade regulations.
• Experience with APIs, integration design, or solution architecture.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Adobe, BigCommerce, Woo) and cross-border or compliance integrations.
• Experience with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and demo delivery skills for technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience supporting multinational enterprise sales cycles across EMEA.
• Ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery calls with enterprise prospects to assess compliance needs and cross-border complexity across jurisdictions.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to the prospect's technical landscape and business model.
• Translate regulatory and cross-border requirements into solution architectures leveraging Avalara's API and platform.
• Support RFPs/RFIs, technical documentation, and scoping with a diverse EMEA prospect base.
• Liaise with Product to provide market feedback and align roadmaps with customer needs.
• Coordinate with Certified Implementation Partners and internal teams to ensure readiness and smooth handoffs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global mandate roadmaps and cross-border regulations across EMEA.
• Act as a subject matter expert supporting Sales, Implementation, Support, and Product teams.
• Drive feedback into product development to close gaps and align with customer needs.
