Avalara, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solution Consultant to help clients navigate indirect tax regulations and optimize Avalara's solutions, including indirect tax determination, cross-border, and reporting.

This is a remote role reporting to the Director, Solution Consulting EMEA. You will lead product demonstrations, advise across business and technical audiences, stay current with the product roadmap, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Delivery teams to address complex

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SaaS presales, consulting, or solution implementation roles.
• Knowledge of indirect tax regulations and tax technology products in EMEA.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft D365.
• Experience communicating complex technical and regulatory concepts to multiple stakeholders.
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, including finance, IT leadership, and C-suite executives.
• Express a natural curiosity for product innovation and regulatory change.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales, Partner, and Business Development teams with subject matter expertise on Avalara's indirect tax products throughout the sales cycle.
• Partner with customers to understand tax, compliance, and integration requirements, delivering expert guidance and tailored recommendations.
• Act as a technical and regulatory advisor for customers and prospects from presales through implementation kickoff; ensure clear scope and expectations.
• Lead detailed product demonstrations and solution consultations, clearly articulating value across business and technical audiences.
• Maintain a deep understanding of Avalara's products and align with roadmap evolution.
• Proactively track regulatory changes and market trends, flagging updates, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
• Enable customers and internal teams to maximize value from Avalara's solutions.
• Represent Avalara at industry events, conferences, and partner engagements, addressing technical and regulatory questions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Delivery teams to address complex customer scenarios and influence future enhancements.
