A respected charity in Northumberland is seeking an experienced Criminal Justice Team Manager to lead a dedicated team supporting individuals within the criminal justice system. This role involves overseeing service delivery, managing operations, and ensuring high standards of practice. Ideal candidates will have a passion for social justice, experience in criminal justice or offender rehabilitation, and strong leadership skills. A full UK driving license is desirable.

Criminal Justice Team Manager – Northumberland

Location: Northumberland

Hourly Rate: £20.00 - £22.00 (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time

Contract: Temp

Belmont Recruitment are excited to work with a well‑respected charity in Northumberland, looking for an experienced Criminal Justice Team Manager to lead and manage a dedicated team supporting individuals within the criminal justice system.

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for social justice and a proven track record of managing teams, overseeing service delivery, and making a positive impact on vulnerable individuals. You will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day operations of a team providing support and rehabilitation to individuals in contact with the criminal justice system, ensuring they access the services and support they need to reduce reoffending and reintegrate into society.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff delivering support to individuals in the criminal justice system, ensuring high standards of practice and service delivery
  • Oversee the implementation of treatment and rehabilitation plans, working closely with clients to address their needs, including substance misuse, mental health, housing, and employment
  • Provide supervision, support, and training to the team, promoting continuous professional development
  • Manage caseloads, ensuring that interventions are effective, outcomes are monitored, and support is tailored to individual needs
  • Liaise with statutory agencies, including probation, police, courts, and social services, to ensure collaborative working and integrated support for clients
  • Contribute to strategic planning and the development of new initiatives to improve service delivery
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring targets are met and the service remains compliant with contractual obligations
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for clients and staff
Requirements
  • Proven experience in criminal justice, offender rehabilitation, or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system, including policies, procedures, and services available for offenders
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals and understanding the complex needs they may face, including substance misuse, mental health, and housing issues
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies to achieve positive outcomes for clients
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., management, social work, or criminal justice) – desirable but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport is desirable
