Job summary

Davies in Bolton is seeking a File Handler for pre-litigated complex Credit Hire claims. You will investigate high-value claims, conduct technical investigations, and work under supervision to repudiation outcomes.

You will manage a caseload under a Technical Supervisor, review files, negotiate with third party solicitors, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and SRA standards while delivering outstanding client service.

Qualifications

• Experience of handling Credit Hire files with evidence of managing own caseload.
• GCSEs (at least five) essential; degree/LPC preferable.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan workloads.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Good telephone negotiation skills and adherence to process.
• Experience with Case Management System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze files throughout the life of the case; follow client guidelines.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with the client at the heart of decisions.
• Formulating an initial strategy while assessing intel and KYO strategies.
• Undertaking telephone negotiations with third party Solicitors.
• Liaising with the insured where necessary.
• Ensuring actions are carried out per the Case Management System.
