Job summary

Davies, based in Liverpool, is seeking a File Handler for pre-litigation complex credit hire claims over £25,000. You will investigate and repudiates such claims, working under supervision to manage a high-value caseload, while delivering meticulous client service and compliance with ISO 9001 and SRA standards.

The role offers a structured environment with 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, and a strong benefits package. Experience in credit hire and a proactive, tactful approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of handling Credit Hire files and managing own caseload.
• GCSEs (minimum 5) essential; degree or LPC preferable.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan workloads.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication; strong negotiation skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Word, Outlook and CMS.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse credit hire files throughout the life of the case.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with a service focus.
• Formulate initial strategy after reviewing intel and KYO.
• Undertake telephone negotiations with third party solicitors.
• Liaise with the insured where necessary.
• Ensure actions are completed per the Case Management System.
• Feedback outcomes to stakeholders and complete MI.
• Ensure files comply with ISO 9001 and SRA standards.
