Job summary

IPS Group is a growing InsurTech within the UK claims space and is seeking a Credit Hire Claims Handler to join the Manchester team. You will manage a live caseload from instruction through settlement or litigation, working closely with clients, claimants, insurers and third parties to drive timely, fair outcomes.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement after probation, with a blend of office and home-based days, and opportunities to influence processes as the function expands.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience handling motor-related Credit Hire claims from inception to settlement.
• Strong understanding of UK motor insurance principles and claims processes.
• Ability to investigate claims, review evidence and make sound decisions.

Location: Manchester City Centre (Office-based during probation)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £32,000 + 10% Discretionary Bonus

IPS Group is working with an innovative and fast-growing InsurTech that is continuing to expand its UK claims operation. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint a Credit Hire Claims Handler to join their newly established claims team in Manchester.

As one of the early hires within the claims function, you'll have the chance to make a real impact, contribute to the development of processes and customer outcomes, and position yourself for future progression as the team continues to grow.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of third-party Credit Hire claims from instruction through to settlement or litigation. Working closely with clients, claimants, insurers and third parties, you'll be responsible for progressing claims efficiently while delivering positive outcomes throughout the claims journey. The role will involve reviewing liability, handling quantum disputes, assessing supporting evidence and negotiating settlements. You'll also review payment packs, utilise Verify as part of the claims process and identify any potentially fraudulent activity or underwriting concerns where appropriate.

As the UK operation continues to grow, you'll play an important role in helping shape processes and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You will have previous Credit Hire claims experience and be confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision. Ideally, you'll have at least two years' experience handling motor-related Credit Hire claims from inception through to settlement.

You will also have:

• A strong understanding of UK motor insurance principles and claims processes
• Knowledge of liability assessment, indemnity and quantum calculations
• The ability to investigate claims, review evidence and make sound decisions
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
