Job summary

Bristow and Sutor Group is seeking a Credit Controller on a fixed-term basis to maternity cover from 1 January 2027 to 28 April 2028. The role focuses on day-to-day management of customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and supporting cash flow. DBS/CCJ checks are required before offer.

The ideal candidate will have credit control or sales ledger experience, with strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to manage customer relationships professionally.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control or sales ledger roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day sales ledger and maintain accurate customer accounts.
• Proactively contact customers to pursue overdue invoices and secure payment.
• Review aged debt and minimise overdue balances; reconcile accounts and resolve queries.
• Allocate and process customer payments with finance team collaboration.
• Monitor credit limits and payment terms and escalate risks as needed.
• Support month-end procedures and other finance admin as required.
