Job summary

Motia in the United Kingdom is seeking a Credit Controller on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave from October 2026 to October 2027. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will handle credit checks, process overdue payments, and maintain accurate customer records.

The role requires prior debt recovery experience, strong numeracy and proficient use of Microsoft Office. Normal hours are 08:45–17:15 Mon-Thu and 08:45–14:45 Fri, with occasional longer Friday rota; salary is £27,493 per

Qualifications

• Experience as a Credit Controller or in debt recovery.
• Good standard of education, English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
• Office-based experience and proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Accurate, numerate and with strong communication skills.
• Organisation and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Call customers daily to discuss payments and outstanding debts.
• Process credit checks and handle administrative duties.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update systems.
• Coordinate with Sales on fuel card accounts and payment plans.
• Liaise with supervisor on letters before action and payment plans.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.
