Job summary

Lyreco, based at the Telford Head Office, is seeking a Credit Controller to join our Finance team. You will manage an assigned portfolio, collect overdue balances and work with customers and internal teams to resolve queries.

This busy, supportive role emphasises relationship-building to minimise bad debt and improve collection performance. The successful candidate will have credit control experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in credit control and collecting overdue balances.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Organised, numerically capable with proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and collect overdue balances.
• Make outbound contact with customers to meet targets and KPIs.
• Build positive relationships and understand payment issues preventing payment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve service or account queries quickly.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity.
• Support Sales team with effective account management.
