Morgan McKinley (South West) in Gloucester is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, chase overdue invoices and ensure balances are collected within terms while maintaining positive customer relationships.

The role requires a proactive approach to debt collection, excellent organisation, and proficiency with Excel and accounting software.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring outstanding balances are collected within agreed payment terms.
• Proactively contact customers via telephone and email to chase overdue invoices and resolve payment queries.
• Monitor aged debt reports, identifying overdue accounts and escalating potential issues where necessary.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, account queries and payment disputes.
• Allocate customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal departments to support timely payments.
• Prepare and issue customer statements, payment reminders and regular account updates.
• Support month-end processes and provide updates on aged debt and cash collection performance.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established business based in Gloucester on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual to join a busy finance team, taking responsibility for managing customer accounts, reducing outstanding debt and maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring outstanding balances are collected within agreed payment terms.
