Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in Stockport. This full-time role involves delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4, managing behaviour, and supporting student engagement.

There is an immediate start with a long-term opportunity and ongoing training. You will work under school policies, provide feedback to teachers, and support learners as needed, with safeguarding training desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
• Experience within education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or care settings is advantageous.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Confident working with secondary-aged students.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding Training issued within the last 12 months (desirable).

Cover Supervisor - Stockport

FULL TIME | IMMEDIATE START | LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching are working with a mainstream secondary school in Stockport seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, and experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable secondary school experience. The successful candidate will deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 while maintaining a positive learning environment.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location: Stockport
• Position: Cover Supervisor
• Type of Work: Classroom supervision and lesson delivery
• Start Date: Immediate
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
• Full-Time/Part-Time: Full Time
• Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP110 - GBP140 per day (depending on experience)
• Hours: 8:15am - 3:30pm

THE ROLE

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
