Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in Stockport. This full-time role involves delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4, managing behaviour, and supporting student engagement.

There is an immediate start with a long-term opportunity and ongoing training. You will work under school policies, provide feedback to teachers, and support learners as needed, with safeguarding training desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
• Experience within education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or care settings is advantageous.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Confident working with secondary-aged students.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding Training issued within the last 12 months (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure students remain engaged and on task.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Support students with their learning where required.
• Promote a safe and positive learning environment.
