Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Cover Supervisors for flexible opportunities across secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, Tamworth and surrounding areas. Roles include short-term, long-term and daily supply bookings. The position starts ASAP with hours 8:30am–4:00pm, term-time only.

Daily pay ranges from £95 to £135, depending on role and experience. A Graduate Degree and safeguarding training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree required or preferable.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
• Safeguarding training within the last 12 months or ability to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Ensure students remain on task and engaged with learning.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress, engagement and behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Support the wider school community when required.

Position: Cover Supervisor

Contract/Position Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Daily and Long-Term

Contract Type: Temporary

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP95-GBP135

Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Key Responsibilities

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Graduate Degree


• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Learning Mentor, Sports Coach, or Youth Worker is highly desirable


• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential


• Up-to-date Safeguarding training is required. If you have not completed Safeguarding training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge
